If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?
It would be the word “hate,” because it’s often used too casually for something so heavy. Most of the time, what we mean is discomfort, frustration, fear, or pain — but “hate” flattens all of that into something sharp and final. I think language shapes how we feel, and removing that word would make more room for understanding and softness.
